Bio

I grew up surrounded by photography, understood not only as an expressive language but also as an artisanal practice. I watched my father take and print his photographs, bringing images to life in what, for me, was—and still is—the darkroom: a place of quiet magic.

I began printing at the age of twelve and have never stopped refining and deepening my photographic and printing practice. Over the years, my work as a photographer has moved through documentary photography, posed portraits of artists, still life, and street photography, while consistently focusing on the human figure—photographed in its essence and simplicity, across different geographical and cultural contexts.

Alongside working with a wide range of formats, from 35mm to 8×10, I have developed extensive expertise in advanced darkroom printing and toning techniques, which remain central to my artistic process.

My passion for photography led me to join Fotografia Zeropixel, the international analog photography festival based in Trieste, Italy. I initially participated as a photographer and later became part of the curatorial team, serving as curator for eight consecutive editions. During this time, the festival achieved significant recognition, hosting internationally renowned photographers and critics.

Alongside my work as a photographer, I have curated numerous photography events and led darkroom and analog photography workshops—activities I continue to pursue today.

Working as both a photographer and curator allows me to engage with artists from around the world, fostering collaborations and exchanges that continually enrich my artistic journey.
